About me
Hello,
I am looking forward to learning and chatting with others who are passionate about bringing joy and fun back into education.
It is my belief that this year's institute will be a jumping off point for so many of us to get back to the reason why we chose to be educators, and I enjoy hearing stories from others about why they chose our profession. If we happen to be in a session together, I hope you will share your story with me.
My undergraduate degree is from Miami University, and both my masters degrees are from Xavier University. As a lifelong learner, I have taken additional courses and certification programs at numerous other colleges and universities. I love brainstorming about the big picture!
This year will be my 35th year in education, and I have been blessed to work with students from preschool to graduate school. I am proud to be working as a middle school counselor, and I have had numerous additional roles in education (classroom teacher, coach, department chair, mentor, advisor, bus driver, professor, etc.). Recently a student shared with me that I seem to be able to connect people with resources and others who can help them on their path. He said it seemed like I was a hotel concierge but in education. To me that was a wonderful compliment; being able to be even a small part in the educational journeys of others has been an honor.
