Students from THE Ohio State University Student Leadership Research Collaborative (OSU SLRC)
and Dr. Keith Bell
 
The student team of Emma Rathburn, Najma Omar and Grace Vepouyoum from Groveport Madison High School and Neil Teri and Kennedi Freeman from New Albany High School will present on the Student Considerations for Implementation of AI Policies in Ohio School Districts. Through Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR), these students outlined for the educators in the room how Ohio’s model policy can represent student voice by examining survey data from students and school districts in Oho. YPAR is an equity driven approach to learning where young people act as lead investigators to identify a problem, conduct scientific research, and advocate for policy or institutional change.
