Greetings fellow travelers. Thank you for joining us in the this journey to reconnect to the Joy of Teaching and Learning. When I was a school leader, through trial and error, I fell in love with authentic learning experiences for staff and students because I saw teachers who had long been burned out come back to life and students find meaning and purpose for learning. Now supporting this work is my passion and I would love to talk to you about authentic learning. And even more than that, I am always excited to discuss the authentic leadership required to implement and sustain real transformation. Now is the time and we can do this together!
I am proud to serve as a consultant, coach, and change agent. I am a veteran superintendent and have lived the work I hope to bring to school districts around the country in my role as the Executive Director for Partnerships for Authentic Learning and Leadership. I have K-12 and Career-Technical leadership experience and understand the everyday challenges of leadership such as passing tax campaigns, connecting learning to business and industry for workforce development, along with building effective union and board relationships.
Likewise, I have led the effective engagement of both staff and communities to help uncover their vision in areas such as organization, education, and facilities. I am an advocate for decentralizing organizations to bring voice to all stakeholders and create true learning communities.
