Summer Institute for Authentic Learning and Leadership

Nikole James is an Assistant Principal at New Albany High School and is currently in her 22nd year in education. She is a doctoral student in Educational Studies at The Ohio State University, where her research focuses on student agency and meaningful engagement in secondary schools. Nikole holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Ohio Dominican University and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University. She is passionate about leadership practices that foster student voice, ownership, and engagement. Outside of school, Nikole is married to Justin, is the proud parent of three children: Riley, Grayson, and Camila.
