As Founder and CEO of EnvisionEdPlus, Michele Timmons envisions a future where EACH young person thrives - in school and beyond. Michele oversees a high-quality, diverse team that supports formal and informal education-based organizations across the preschool - grade 12 spectrum by providing innovation and equity-focused high-quality professional development, grant writing, and consulting. Under her leadership, the EnvisionEdPlus team has provided outstanding professional services in 30 states and in nine countries with an emphasis on creating systems that promote active and engaged learning and social well-being so young people are prepared for success in their communities, workplaces, and for post-secondary learning. Michele is also a highly respected grant writer, having authored/co-authored more than $286,000,000 in grant awards for education and non-profit partners.Timmons’ previous experiences include the KnowledgeWorks Foundation, a national leader in innovative school design, and the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center’s award-winning Care Team Collaborative. Through the Care Team Collaborative, she supported 15 Ohio schools implementing a whole child approach to addressing the academic and non-academic needs of all children. Michele’s administrative experience includes Maysville Local School District, a small rural district in southeastern Ohio, where she held a variety of positions, including high school principal and special education director. Mrs. Timmons is the founder and first director at Foxfire Center for Student Success, one of Ohio’s first and longest operating dropout recovery schools. Foxfire’s design and strong focus on achievement for all was recognized by the US Department of Education as a Model Dropout Recovery School. Michele Timmons began her career as a social studies teacher at Reynoldsburg High School, where she and colleagues won an Ohio BEST Award for Innovative Academic Programs.
