Summer Institute for Authentic Learning and Leadership

Erika Reeves is a veteran educator, Master Teacher, and STEM Bodies Coordinator at Metro Early College High School in Columbus, Ohio. She teaches advanced Anatomy & Physiology while leading innovative biomedical career pathways that connect students with authentic research and healthcare experiences. Erika partners with organizations including The Ohio State University, Nationwide Children's Hospital, the PAST Foundation, and Battelle Memorial Institute to design project-based learning experiences that prepare students for careers in science and medicine. She is passionate about developing professional skills, scientific literacy, and workforce readiness through inquiry-based instruction, work-based learning, and student-led research. Erika also mentors educators and collaborates with community partners to expand meaningful STEM learning opportunities for both teachers and students.
